Saltwater Aquariums
Since an early age, I have owned several freshwater fish, mainly Betta fish (Betta splendens) and goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus). Even had a tropical fish (that coincidentally ate the goldfish, but that’s another story). None of these fish made it to my high school graduation. After years, I have come back to this passion, fully armed with research, determination and continuous awe for fish and taken on saltwater aquariums as the ultimate holder of aquatic beauty, short of the ocean.
- “…the sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonders forever.” -Jacques-Yves Cousteau, French naval officer, explorer, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher.
- “No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea.” -Jacques-Yves Cousteau
Fishing
Fishing is a sport, a challenge of man vs. wild, a test of willpower and mental fortitude, and a great experience to generate bonds of camaraderie. If we can fish together, we can probably work together.
- “There are only two occasions when Americans respect privacy, especially in Presidents. Those are prayer and fishing.” – Herbert Hoover, 31st President of the United States.
- “Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” -Henry David Thoreau, American author, philosopher, abolitionist, naturalist, and leading transcendentalist.
